Class Descriptions
Hybrid Core ELA
Small-group English Language Arts instruction focused on reading, writing, vocabulary, and comprehension. Students work at their appropriate level with individualized support and guided practice.
Hybrid Core Math
Small-group math instruction that builds grade-level skills while allowing students to work at the level that fits them best. Lessons focus on understanding concepts, practicing skills, and building confidence.
Hybrid Core Social Studies
Students explore history, geography, civics, and culture through age-appropriate lessons and discussion. The focus is on understanding key ideas, asking questions, and connecting topics to the world around them.
Hybrid Core Science
Students explore science through hands-on learning, observation, and experimentation. Lessons build grade-level understanding while encouraging curiosity, problem-solving, and asking questions about how the world works.
Robotics & STEM
Spark creativity and curiosity with fun engineering activities. During each lesson, students brainstorm and develop creative solutions through trial and error while collaborating with their peers.
Junior Woodshop
Students learn the basics of woodworking through fun, hands-on projects! They’ll develop creativity, problem-solving skills, patience, and confidence while learning how to safely use tools and build projects they can be proud of.
Story Factory – Creative Writing
Tales by Me! In Creative Writing, young learners become authors and illustrators as they create their own tales inspired by classic picture books. Each class blends reading, writing, and art to help students build early literacy skills while expressing their big ideas in small books. We’ll learn about how stories are made—and then make our own!
Everyday Math
Children who use Everyday Mathematics develop a deeper understanding of math as well as powerful, life-long habits of mind such as perseverence, creative thinking, and the ability to express and defend their reasoning.
Stitch Lab
Learn to create both fun and useful items! With beginner-friendly materials, we’ll make everything from pouches and puppets to stockings and stuffies. Mastering this practical skill will benefit students for years to come.
Mic Check
We’ll learn how to properly use our voices through warmups, technique, and engaging genres. Through positive lyrics and an emphasis on stage presence, students will leave with a greater sense of confidence and rhythm!
Fiesta of Colors
Celebrate the colors and culture of Mexico through a variety of traditional art projects. We’ll explore beautiful techniques and materials, and we’ll learn the historical references behind the pieces we create.
Intro to Spanish
Students will learn basic Spanish vocabulary, phrases, and everyday conversation through fun and engaging activities. The class builds communication skills while introducing students to Spanish language and culture.
Martial Arts (ages 3–5)
Our Karate program teaches students discipline, respect, and confidence through structured martial arts training in a positive and supportive environment. Students develop focus, self-control, and physical fitness while working toward achievable goals that build confidence and encourage teamwork.
